Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has said he will “look seriously” at any offers that come his way during the January transfer window, indicating that the 23-year-old may be on his way out of White Hart Lane.
“It would be nice to experience other leagues and other cultures,” Bale said following Tottenham’s 3-0 win away to Fulham on Saturday. “I’m not afraid to go abroad. If the time comes and a team that’s right comes in for me, then I’ll look at it seriously. I’ll see what happens.”
The Welshman’s comments came less than a week after Spurs coach Andre Villas-Boas hinted that the club would struggle to retain its star man, who has long been a transfer target of both Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain. However, the big snag on any possible move is the fact that Bale only just signed a new four-year deal with Spurs over the summer.
