Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder is still at an impasse with Inter Milan regarding his future at the club, which means a move to either Manchester United or Manchester City could be a possibility for the 29-year-old once the transfer window opens next month. On Monday, the Dutch playmaker told reporters "I don't want to talk. Something will come out in the afternoon. I've always been well here."
While Sneijder’s contract with the Italian club is through 2015, his price tag will have come down significantly from the $45.8 million that United was quoted in the summer of 2011. According to the Guardian and other reports, he is now rumored to be worth around $19.6 million.
Sneijder, who won the UEFA Champions League with Inter in 2010, has only recently returned to fitness after a thigh injury had kept him out for two months. Last week, Inter revealed that he would not play again until he signs a new deal that includes a one-year contract extension with a salary reduction from $7.8 million to $5.2 million.
