Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen, who is widely thought to be one of the brightest young midfield talents in the world, has stated that he is open to a move to England, Italy, Spain or Germany, but only at the right moment. "I think that my future lies in England, Germany, Italy or Spain,” the 20-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “These are the competitions that I like. I will leave Ajax at one point, but I want to leave at the right moment and in the right way."
The Danish international implied he would remain at Ajax until the end of the season before seeking a move, earmarking the Europa League final at the Amsterdam Arena as an appropriate farewell. "I do not know what I will do in a few months' time yet, but I want to leave my mark before moving on,” he said. “The Europa League final in our own stadium would be a good opportunity for that. I have learned a lot here and I don't want to leave with empty hands. I want to win something and then move on."
Eriksen is currently under contract with Ajax until June 2014, and he recently told the club that he is not interested in opening talks over an extension.
