[PORTLAND TIMBERS] James Nosack and Timur Zhividze scored the first two hat
tricks ever for the Portland Timbers' U-17/18 team as they came back from two goals down after 20 minutes and beat Cascadia-rival Vancouver Whitecaps' residency team, 6-3, in Surrey, B.C.
The Timbers were able to pull one back just before halftime on Zhividze’s first goal of the season, and Portland took control of the match in the second half with goals in the 51st, 55th, 63rd,
86th and 89th minutes.
With his hat trick, Nosack has a team-best seven goals.
The Timbers head into the winter break with a 5-6-2 record. They return to action Feb. 2 on the
road against the De Anza Force at De Anza College in Cupertino, Calif.
