2012 Top 20 U.S. soccer crowds

[ATTENDANCE WATCH] Brazil attracted 2012's top three U.S. crowds for friendly games it played in late spring. The Seattle Sounders drew nine of the 20 largest crowds, seven for MLS regular-season matches and one each for the MLS playoffs and a friendly against Chelsea.

    80,000 to watch Argentina - Brazil in New Jersey, but no RedBulls games among the top twenty biggest crowds. So if MLS isn't making that DP money back in attendance, it better be selling jerseys. Lots of them. And every MLS crowd listed here but one, San Jose - LA, was a Sounders game. So lets go into debt to finance a team in Brooklyn or the Bronx? It will be 15 years before MLS is looking at the quality of play those 80,000 fans watching Argentina-Brazil demand. So why not take take that money and invest In fully funded coaching courses run by Spanish - not British - UEFA licensed coaches, and put the rest in youth development. MLS doesn't need more debt, and it doesn't need greedy corporate sponsors dictating league decisions. Fans will come when quality is there.
