Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, who has scored three goals in his last two games, says he has seen no sign of a contract extension from the Blues, which means he will be free tosign a pre-contract with a foreign club on Tuesday.

“We haven’t been talking about a new contract in the last couple of weeks,” Lampard said after scoring twice against Everton inChelsea’s 2-1 win at Goodison Park on Sunday. “At the moment nothing has been said and my contract is up in the summer.”

Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez had little to sayabout a new contract for the 34-year-old. “My job is to keep Lampard fit,” he said. “He is a good player. He is under contract, fully committed and working hard and that is the way.We cannot say too much about this.”

The Spaniard implied that he didn’t have any say over transfers. “My job is to win games, coach the players properly, and keep my opinion ifI have to give my opinion. The key part is to improve the players on the pitch.”
