[SOCCER AMERICA BEST CLUBS] The Players Development Academy, known as PDA, is again first in Soccer America’s 10th annual girls rankings. The New Jersey clubedged out Sting and Eclipse Select, which switched places at No. 2 and No. 3.

In 2012, PDA’s U-14s, U-15s and U-16s were all seeded as No. 3 at the ECNLnational finals. Five PDA players attended U-14 national team camps: Jaylyn Thompson, Alexa Ferreira, Nicole Whitley, Evangeline Soucie and Frankie Tagliaferri, one of two ’99 players inthe program.

In 2011, the Slammers’ U-15 title ended the New Jersey club’s seven-year drought at the U.S. Youth National Championships and PDA was also one of only two clubs to place twoteams in the top five in the ECNL.

In 2010, the Tsunami won the U-17 Elite Clubs National League championship and the Charge was the runner-up in the U-16 division.

Criteria: Soccer America selects the top 30 clubs based on success of their teams in national youth competitions over the last three years (2010-12) and theselection of their current players to national youth teams and other national youth events in 2012.
