Milan Looking to Sign Kaka in January

AC Milan is intent on re-signing former playmaker Kaka from Real Madrid, Vice President Adriano Galliani confirmed on Wednesday. Reflecting on the difficulty of the deal, which could arrive in the form of a loan with an option to buy, Galliani said: “There is just one negotiation taking place and that is for Kaka. The numbers are difficult for him but we will give it a go,” he said.

“All three parties have to work well and the desire is there. Kaka wants to come, we want to sign him and Real want to sell – but we all have problems when it comes to balancing the books. A loan deal? We’ll see. There is a wages wall in Italy that you can’t get over now – we’ll have to find an imaginative solution. Our love for Kaka has never ended, it was never interrupted. We were forced to sell him because of the figures involved.”

According to La Marca, the 30-year-old Brazilian wants to leave during the January transfer window, but Real has put a price tag of 25 million euros ($33 million) on his head. The LA Galaxy, which had been looking into securing the Brazilian playmaker last year, reportedly balked at his high price tag, which continues ward off any potential suitors.
