Mourinho remains 100 percent confident

[REACTION: UEFA Champions League] Real Madrid's 1-1 tie at home against Manchester United pushed Merengues coach Jose Mourinho one step closer to the exit door at Bernabeu Stadium, but you'd have never guessed by his reaction afterward. "We can score at Old Trafford," Mourinho, as confident as ever, said of the second leg on March 5. "Many teams have done so at Old Trafford and no team with our attacking quality has played there."

United has the edge thanks to the away goal scored by Danny Welbeck off a header and held on for the draw after Cristiano Ronaldo equalized on a clinical header.

"I won't criticize what they did," Mourinho said of United's approach. "They got the result they wanted."

He said it isn't United's style or that of English teams to sit back and defend at home.

"I am expecting a very strong opponent with very good players," he said, "but I am confident and 100 percent sure we can do this."

Mourinho said he preferred to play the second leg of a two-game series on the road.

"When you play second game away," he said, "you know how you need to approach the game. When we get to Old Trafford we are behind and need to score. If we score, we go ahead, so it is very easy and we know what to do."
