Hexagonal home opener sells out within one hour

[USA-COSTA RICA] Will the national team draw in Colorado? That question was answered in less than an hour -- the time tickets on sale to the general public for the USA-Costa Rica World Cup 2014 qualifier March 22  at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City sold out.

There was an advance sale for U.S. Soccer Supporters Club members, Colorado Rapids season-ticket holders and Visa cardholders.

The game is first home match of the Hexagonal -- and the only home game the USA will play in its first four matches. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. MT (10 p.m. ET), and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN and UniMas.

The only other World Cup qualifier played at Dick's Sporting Goods Park -- a USA-Guatemala game played in 2008 after the USA had already clinched a berth in the next year's Hexagonal -- drew just 9,303 fans at the 18,086-seat stadium.
