Victim of McManaman horror tackle 'shocked'

Newcastle defender Massadio Haidara says it's shocking that Callum McManaman has escaped English FA punishment for the horror challenge on him. Haidara added that
he feared the Wigan midfielder had ruined his life.
"I don’t understand (the decision not to ban McManaman)," Haidara said. "His tackle could have ended my career and ruined my
life but in the end he will play football before me. We have to protect the players. We can’t tolerate tackles like this in football."
McManaman cleated Haidara in the knee while
missing the ball by at least foot-length but officials claim they didn't see a foul. Haidara was stretchered off the field. Initial scans of the injury have revealed only serious bruising and Haidara
could be back within a month.
