Scolari Winless in Three as Brazil Coach

Luiz Felipe Scolari remains winless after three games in charge of Brazil after the Selecao battled back against Russia at Stamford Bridge on Monday night to earn a 1-1 draw. Before that, a 2-2 draw against Italy last week followed a 2-1 loss to England at Wembley on Feb 6.

Zenit St Petersburg forward Victor Fayzulin put Russia in front after a goalmouth scramble in the 73rd minute, but Fred equalized in stoppage time, tapping home Marcelo’s low cross following a quick passing move involving Hulk and the Real Madrid left back.

''There are no shortcuts for success -- you need to win in stages and we have to go to each stage to reach the final goal,'' Scolari said on his return to Stamford Bridge. ''This is what we are doing now. At each stage, we try to add some more improvements ... we are on the right path.''

Russia coach Fabio Capello seemed equally happy to come away from his return to London with a point. ''The most important thing I saw this evening was the team spirit,'' he said. ''This is important if we want to go forward.''
