Norwegian champion signs Spencer via U.S. pipeline

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Ben Spencer Jr. became the latest American to sign with Norwegian champion Molde. The 6-foot-5 forward, who spent time with the Real Salt Lake AZ and Chivas USA academy programs, had a trial at Molde before the Christmas break and spent the pre-season with the Norwegian club before signing after turning 18.

Spencer was committed to UCSB to play college soccer this coming fall.

He played his club soccer with NM Rush before joining the Development Academy circuit.

Josh Gatt has become a U.S. international since joining Molde, where he has won two Tippeligaen titles in two seasons. Fellow Michigan product Sean Cunningham signed with Molde in 2011.
