U.S. SOCCER: Women beat Mexico, 1-0, before 20,435 in Kansas City

The U.S. women's national team won its fifth straight game on the Fan Celebration Tour with a 1-0 win over Mexico in front of 20,435 fans at Arrowhead Stadium.

Angela Hucles scored in the first half to lift her team over Mexico and improve the U.S. record to 25-1-3 on the year. The USA is now within two wins of breaking the record for most victories in a calendar year.

Hucles rolled her ankle in the 81st minute and had to leave the match. Stanford goalie Nicole Barnhart earned her first cap coming on for Hucles because the USA has already used all of its available substitutes. Barnhart is the starting goalkeeper for the U.S. Under-21 national team.
