[USA UNDER-20 MEN] Jordan Morris, who has scored 22 goals in 22 games for the Seattle Sounders Academy this season inthe U-17/18 Development Academy, is the lone high school player with amateur status called into the U.S. under-20 men’s national team camp at the Home Depot Center.
Morris, who hasplayed for the Sounders’ reserve team, is a converted winger and will play next season for Stanford University.
U.S. U-20 coach Tab Ramos saysMorris was one of 75-90 players on his team’s depth chart.
“In Jordan’s case,” he said, “[Seattle Sounders head coach] Sigi Schmid thinksvery highly of him, and we value his opinion and look at Jordan’s track record. When he’s scoring one or two goals in every Academy game, that is something you seriously have to lookat.”
The other newcomer called into the camp is the University of Louisville’s Marlon Hairston, a product of Jackson, Miss.
“They bothare showing good form at this time to try and compete for a World Cup spot,” added Ramos. “They’re both very good players.”

Im just guessing here. Never heard of this kid obviously. But I would be willing to bet that he is or was a little fella that got passed over all these years. Sounds like he has skill and its good to see the US soccer system stepping out of there identification comfort zone.
