As Manchester United celebrated its English Premier League title on Monday night, defender Patrice Evra appeared to mock Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, who awaits
his punishment for biting Branislav Ivanovic during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Sunday, by biting into a fake dismembered arm.
The fake arm was thrown onto
the field from the crowd as United players paraded around in front of Old Trafford fans following the club’s 3-0 win against Aston Villa, which clinched its record 20th top-flight league title
in England.
According to the report, Evra picked up the arm and made a gesture to bite into it, apparently in reference to the Suarez incident. The Frenchman then carried the arm around the
field, posing for pictures with it. Irate Liverpool fans have since asked the Football Association to take action against Evra.
Suarez was banned for eight games for racially abusing Evra
during a game between Liverpool and United in 2011.
