[COACHING EDUCATION] The NSCAA, whose January convention has become the world’s largest gathering of coaches since its inception 66 years ago, is launching aSummer Symposium, to be held Aug. 1-3 in Orlando. Former U.S. national team coaches Bob Gansler and Tony DiCicco are among the presenters at the summer event thatalso enables the NSCAA to honor high school players and coaches from the winter and spring seasons.

The NSCAA launched the Summer Symposium in part for coaches unable to attend the JanuaryConvention. Like the Convention, the Symposium features an exhibitors’ hall and coaching education sessions.

Amongthe sessions is the opening panel addressing the question: “How far have we advanced in our development of CoachingEducation and Player Development in the United States?”  Moderated by NSCAA CEO Joe Cummings, the panel is comprised of Gansler, NSCAA Director of Coaching EducationIan Barker, University of Florida head coach Becky Burleigh, former U.S. star Tony Sanneh and former Everton youth academy coach ToshFarrell.
