Morales pleased about Indiana camp

[MEXICO UNDER-20 MEN] Forward Julio Morales returned to Chivas USA after a week with Mexico's under-20 national team at its camp held in Indiana to prepare for this summer's Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.

“It was interesting, to say the least," he said. "There was a lot of competition. But overall, it was good experience and I felt very good. Thankfully, I was taken into consideration this time, and personally, I thought I did well and now we wait to see if I get called up again."

Morales, who was born and raised in San Jose, Calif., and spent time at Chivas de Guadalajara, played in the two games against the University of Notre Dame (3-2 loss) and Indiana University (1-0 win).

“I think I have the skills and the capacities to be on the squad that goes to the World Cup," he said. "I went to this camp, gave it my all, and hopefully the coach [Sergio Almaguer] takes me into consideration. By the end, the coach told me that I did things very well and to continue working hard and we’ll see where we go from there."
