In his first press conference after returning from cancer treatment in the United States, Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova said he felt strong enough to honor his two-year contract. Nevertheless, Marca reports that the Catalan club is preparing a ‘Plan B’ just in case Vilanova is unable to continue next season. The Barca coach was spotted in New York a few days ago for a medical check-up, which won’t be his last as he continues his recovery.

According to the report, the 44-year-old will soon meet with his doctors to discuss whether he is in good enough condition to start a new season. Marca says the club had contacted Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini, but he is rumored to be on his way to Manchester City next season.
