Messi: 'I was always the smallest, but there were no obstacles'

[VIDEO PICK: La Pulga] A beautiful new ad finds Lionel Messi sharing the defining moments of his career in a brief interview that includes soccer highlights from Barcelona to his boyhood days, all designed to sell you a watch that costs more than your car.

Rarely does one feel the inclination to thank an advertiser, but Audemars Piguet made sure this ad is a couple minutes well spent.

Messi shares memories about his childhood in Argentina, moving to Barcelona from Rosario at 13 years old, and what it meant to inherit the No. 10 in 2008 from two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho at Barca. He also mentions something about wanting to win a World Cup someday.

If all commercials were this good maybe more people would watch them. Just a humble guy taking over the world one goal at a time ...
