Report: Seedorf to Replace Allegri at Milan

Following his end-of-season meeting with AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani, Massimiliano Allegri refused to confirm or deny that he and the club have parted
ways. For several weeks, Allegri has been linked to the vacant head-coaching job at AS Roma. However, after leaving the club’s headquarters, Allegri said, “I’ve got nothing to say. I
just enjoyed a long good coffee with Galliani…” When asked if he was still the coach of Milan, he just walked away.
The press is still assuming that Allegri was fired, and
will join soon join Roma.
Interestingly, former player Clarence Seedorf has emerged as the
frontrunner to replace Allegri. According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Dutchman, who currently still plays in Brazil with Botafogo, would come in on a three-year deal alongside club
legend Paolo Maldini as part of the new set-up. The report says that Maldini, who played 20 seasons at Milan before retiring in 2009, would be in charge of club transfers as well as
being the right-hand man for Seedorf, who is described as a “complex” character.
