Parma pulls off picture perfect free kick in Serie A finale

[VIDEO PICK: Golazo] Parma's clockwork implementation of an ingenious and devastating free kick routine generated a gorgeous opening goal in its final game of the season, a 3-1 win at Palermo Sunday.

Massimo Gobi came into this game with one goal in three seasons at Parma. The 32-year-old left back scored his second at Palermo on Sunday -- and oh what a goal it was.

Palermo’s relegation fate was sealed heading into this game, and with its visitors locked into the middle of the standings it was no surprise Parma broke out a free kick routine it had been toying with in training after a foul on the edge of the box in the 38th minute, but it was shocking how well it turned out.

A couple bells and whistles precede an unexpected pass setting up this absolute wallop by Gobi to double his goal total at Parma in fine fashion ...
