[CHELSEA-MANCHESTER CITY] Manchester City kicked off the international summer friendly season with a bang, rallying from a three-goal deficit to beat Chelsea,
4-3, on Thursday before a standing-room crowd of 48,263 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
Micah Richards won the game on a header as Manchester City
put four goals past goalie Jamal Blackman in the last half hour.
Javi Garcia also scored for City and Edin Dzeko's second goal of the game tied the score in the 85th minute for Man City.
Players on both teams wore black arm bands in tribute to those
killed and injured in the Oklahoma tornadoes.
Both teams agreed to match the donation of $1 per ticket the baseball Cardinals and event promoter Relevent pledged.
The game
was the first at Busch Stadium. The old Busch Stadium was home to the NASL Stars and numerous college games.
