Polish duo isn't quite Messi and Alves

[VIDEO PICK: Magic Feet] In April, Lionel Messi and Dani Alves provided some of the most incredible footage all season by keeping a ball airborne from 40 yards apart during pre-game warmups in Paris. Recently a pair of players in Poland offered an accidental imitation, giving us reason to share both.

We'd like to thank Adrian Klepczynski and Tomas Docekal of Piast Gliwice in Poland’s first division, which won this game 2-1. The duo’s four consecutive overblown crosses gave us the excuse we’ve been looking for to relive one of the greatest warm up routines in recent memory.

Here’s how it looked in Poland during the game…

And here's how it looked through a cell phone in Paris prior to Barcelona’s Champions League game at Paris St. Germain. That’s Alves by the corner flag and Monsieur Messi in midfield.

The casual awesomeness of this routine is simply mind-boggling…

Difference is Messi would have buried one of the crosses. Skills development - as shown in the warmup - one reason why the US still lags in the world men's scene.
