Wind scores winning goal in Italy's fifth division

[VIDEO PICK: Off the Post] Mother Nature gave birth to one of the most bizarre own goals in soccer history last week in Italy's Serie D, and unfortunately for the keeper credited with the tally, it turned out to be the margin of victory.

Today’s video is more evidence that the life of a keeper isn’t always fair, and this one would’ve surely settled for thankless, as opposed to what forces beyond his control saw fit to dole out last weekend.

Trailing Ischia 1-0 in the 31st minute, the Delta Porto Tolle goalie makes what appears to be a decent clearance, but a hellacious gust of wind grabbed hold of the ball and tucked it home in spite of his best efforts, making it 2-0. Delta Porto Tolle scored once, losing at home 2-1.

It has been said that Mother Nature always bats last, but this footage provides proof positive -- she bats whenever she wants ...

    If he would have saved it would it have been ruled handling a back pass? I think so as he received a backpass from a team mate and no one touched it after the GK kicked it...
