Pennsylvania club treasurer accused of stealing more than $100,000

[JURISPRUDENCE] Brian Farley, the former treasurer of the Tri-Boro Youth Soccer Club in Whitehall Township, Pa., has been charged with two third-degree felonies for stealing more than $100,000 from the club over more than six years.

The 54-year-old Farley, the club's the treasurer since 2006, was charged with one count each of theft and receiving stolen property after Tino Babayan, the club president, filed a theft report with police in March after it was discovered Farley had not paid for the uniforms he said he said he had paid for and the club's bank accounts contained less than $5,000 as opposed to the $30,000 he had reported.

Babayan said Farley was the only person with access to club bank accounts. Tri-Boro Youth Soccer Club has more than 600 players in its programs.
