Defender Eric Lichaj
, whose contract was not extended at Aston Villa after five seasons with the English
Premier League club, signed a two-year deal with Nottingham Forest of the second-level League Championship.
Lichaj, who spent his entire career at Villa, is still only 23. He made 23
appearances in all competitions for Villa in 2012-13.
“Eric is a great signing for us," Forest manager Billy Davies
told the club's official
website. “He has experience at the top level of English football and arrives at an important stage of his career. We are very much looking forward to working with him.”
