Lichaj lands at Nottingham Forest

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Defender Eric Lichaj, whose contract was not extended at Aston Villa after five seasons with the English Premier League club, signed a two-year deal with Nottingham Forest of the second-level League Championship.

Lichaj, who spent his entire career at Villa, is still only 23. He made 23 appearances in all competitions for Villa in 2012-13.

“Eric is a great signing for us," Forest manager Billy Davies told the club's official website. “He has experience at the top level of English football and arrives at an important stage of his career. We are very much looking forward to working with him.”

I think klinnsman should still be looking at Lichaj & Tim Reams as possibilities for the USMNT, They showed promise the few times they played, Reams need to add a little bulk on top, but a far smarter & better player than Omar Gonzelas! Lichaj played great over-lapping play as a LFB with a lot of motivation while on the pitch!!!!

I haven't seen Reams play in over a year. I remember he looked very slow and had difficulty reacting to the movement of agile forwards. Gonzalez has had his share of mistakes but looked far more athletic, i.e. seems to me to have more upside at the international level.
