CONNECTICUT JUNIOR SOCCER ASSOCIATION - CJSA - Seeks Full-Time Director of Coaching. CJSA Mission Statement: Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) is a member of U.S. Soccer and U.S. Youth Soccer. CJSA is committed to serve and educate its membership through the development, promotion, and administration of youth soccer in the state of Connecticut. Overview: The Director of Coaching shall possess a current United States Soccer Federation “A” level-coaching and a National Youth License. The Director of Coaching shall be an energetic team player with outstanding communication skills (oral, written, email, etc.) and experienced in all aspects of the game of soccer. The Director of Coaching shall be a self-starter and role model. Job Description: The CJSA Director of Coaching will be a full-time salaried employee in the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association State Office and responsible for all coaching development and soccer education within our State Association. Duties consist of those described in the following paragraphs, as well as other tasks, to be assigned by the CJSA President or the CJSA Board of Directors. These tasks fall principally into the following general categories: 1. Coaching development. 2. Soccer education and continuing coach education. Must be a current USSF “A” licensed Coach. MICHIGAN STATE YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION, INC.
Primary Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the development of coaching and soccer education programs and curriculum. Responsible for providing D, E and Youth Module Courses to meet the needs of MSYSA’s coaching population and ensure that the courses follow US Soccer Course requirements and policies. Responsible for providing recreational courses and recreational training for registered coaches of MSYSA. Responsible for conducting license courses as well as supervising course instruction by other State Coaching Staff. Train/oversee/manage State Coaching and ODP staff. Responsible for the development and promotion of the Olympic Development Program. Responsible for the development of MSYSA educational materials, MSYSA coaching manuals, MSYSA coaching resources, etc. Assist in the development of team interest in the Midwest Regional League, Michigan State Premier Soccer Program and MSYSA state tournaments and events. Provide information to those who have ODP, coaching and coaching related inquiries. Provide expert answers and support regarding small-sided games and other formats of play. Maintain MSYSA’s ODP and Coaching database. Work with the MSYSA Executive Director on the development and monitoring of the ODP & Coach Education budgets. Disseminate media releases relating to ODP & Coach Education. Provide written monthly reports for MSYSA Board of Director Meetings. Develop and publish an overview of the ODP and Coaching Programs for distribution at MSYSA’s Annual General Meeting to the membership of MSYSA.Develop and implement coaching workshops, seminars and other educational programs for the benefit of MSYSA members, clubs or leagues. Responsible for developing, conducting and staffing of MSYSA (day and overnight) camps. Any other duties as specifically assigned by the MSYSA Executive Director. Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the MSYSA Executive Director.
