[DATEBOOK] Serie A club Roma has added Toronto to its list of North American destinations this summer. Toronto FC announced Wednesday that it will play a friendly
against the Italian club Aug. 7, a week after Roma plays in the AT&T MLS All-Star Game at Kansas City's Sporting Park.
Roma, which currently includes on its roster internationals
Francesco Totti and
Daniele de Rossi, as well as the USA’s
Michael
Bradley, finished sixth in Serie A last season and lost to city rival Lazio, 1-0, in the Italian Cup final.
A third friendly for Roma, with the New York area a possible venue, is
being discussed. Serie A rivals Inter Milan and Juventus, along with six other teams, are competing in the Guinness International Champions Cup at the same time.
