U.S. international
Jozy Altidore has arrived at Sunderland’s training to complete a medical and sort out personal terms ahead of his proposed move to the Stadium of Light from
AZ Alkmaar.
It was revealed Friday that a deal had been done and that the 23-year-old forward would be returning to the English Premier League for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
Altidore scored 31 goals in all competitions for AZ last season.
The American will be the latest addition to
Paolo Di Canio’s overhauled squad, following the signing
of
Valentin Roberge, Cabral, Modibo Diakite, and youngsters
Duncan Watmore and
David Moberg Karlsson.
