U.S. under-17 national team roster

[NIIGATA TOURNAMENT] The U.S. under-17 national team did not qualify for the Under-7 World Cup this fall in the United Arab Emirates, but it does remain active. The U-17s  will face the Japan and Croatia U-17 national teams, as well as a Niigata All-Star team, at a tournament in Niigata, Japan.

The USA will open against Japan on Saturday and then play Croatia and the Niigata All-Stars the following two days.

Twelve of the 18 players traveling to Japan were part of the U.S. Under-17 Residency Program this past semester.

Other players called in include 15-year-old Brooks Lennon, who recently scored seven goals for the U.S. under-16 national team at the Caspian Cup.

Seven of the players on the roster were born in 1997, while 10 were born in 1996 and one, Christian Pulisic, was born in 1998. Pulisic, another U-16 national team player, is eligible for the 2015 Under-17 World Cup.
