Petersen stops two Swedish penalty kicks

[EURO 2013] Goalkeeper Stina Petersen pulled the rare feat of saving two penalties in a span of 18 minutes to help Denmark hold host Sweden to a 1-1 draw in Gothenburg before a sell-out crowd of 16,128 in Gothenburg on the opening day of the UEFA Women's Championship.

With the scored tied at 1-1, Petersen first dove to her left to stop Swedish star Lotta Schelin after former Chicago Red Star Kosovare Asllani was fouled in the box.

Then, Asllani, who now plays for Paris St. Germain, stepped forward to take a second penalty kick for a handball in the area, but Petersen jumped to stop her weak effort.

Both goals came in the first half. Mariann Knudsen gave the Danes the lead, but Nilla Fischer equalized on a header.
