Chivas USA and Coast Soccer League have agreed to a partnership that includes collaboration between Chivas USA's technical staff and the CSL Club's
Coaching Directors to identify and nominate elite CSL players to train with the Chivas USA Academy teams.
“We are thrilled to be working with what we feel is one of the premier
player development leagues in our Nation,” said Chivas USA Youth Academy Director Sacha van der Most
. “This is just the tip of the iceberg and we look forward to
cooperating with CSL to create new and fruitful opportunities for the kids, their families and the soccer community of Southern California.”
The partnership aims to enable clubs that
do not have access to U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) teams the ability to place their elite players on a Chivas USA USSDA team. CSL will nominate players from to participate in the Chivas USA
USSDA training program. Nominations will be for players from U-13 through U-17.
