Jovetic Heading to Man City

Fiorentina on Friday said it reached an agreement to sell Stefan Jovetic to Manchester City for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old versatile forward scored 35 goals in five seasons with the Florence club. Jovetic, who can play both as a striker or attacking midfielder, is City’s fourth signing of the offseason, joining former Fernandinho, Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo.

City, meanwhile, suffered its second straight preseason defeat in South Africa when AmaZulu earned a late penalty to give the Durban side a 2-1 win. Assistant coach Brian Kidd had taken charge of the team, as head coach Manuel Pellegrini was forced to return to Chile for family reasons.
