Juve Coach: 'No One Else is Leaving'

If Juventus coach Didier Deschamps has his way, no more players will be leaving Turin club. "No-one is going anywhere. The club's directors have decided that those under contract will stay at Juve, even in Serie B," Deschamps told La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today. He affirmed that the club would win promotion and be back in Serie A by this time next year. Deschamps' view that no one else would be leaving wasn't shared by club chairman Giovanni Cobolli, who seemed prepared to let others go at the right price. "If there are some departures there will also be some arrivals and whoever leaves will certainly not be sold cheaply," he said. Last season's disgraced champions have been stripped of their title and sent down to Serie B where the club will be penalized an added 17 points at the start of the season due to its involvement in Italian soccer's worst match-fixing scandal in 20-plus years. Juventus has already lost Fabio Cannavaro, Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Zambrotta, and Emerson, the crux of its defense. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Trezeguet, Patrick Vieira, Mauro Camoranesi and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon have all been linked with other clubs.
