The Pittsburgh Riverhounds signed their first-ever high school players as part of their program that allows academy players to play or
train with the club. Tyler McCarthy
of Pine Richland High School sign a USL standard player agreement for academy players, enabling him to play for
the first team, while Steven Munn
of Sewickley Academy signed a training-only contract.
The training-only USL academy program was recently approved
by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association and Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League.
