U.S. under-14 boys national team roster

[NTC CAMP] Coach Hugo Perez has called in 31 players for the U.S. under-14 boys national team's training camp Aug. 17-25 at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center in Carson, Calif. It is the third training camp of the year for the 1999 age group. Eight players hail from California, and five from Texas.

U.S. U-14 Roster:

    So many kids from Northern California and not a single one is part of the San Jose Earthquakes Academy.

    Imagine how good the US could be one day if the USSF managed to find the time to look at players from the Midwest!! With the exception of one player, Region II is essentially ignored. How can that be? Pretty discouraging for coaches like me, with players that have real talent and potential. And the Federation is based right here in Chicago!! Crazy...

    Damon, I think that Edwin Lara is actually in San Jose Earthquakes Academy now.

    It also seems that DeAnza is doing a good job of recruiting some of the better talent in the area. Pre-Acamdy team for Eathquakes should be very strong with a bunch of ex-TECOS 99's on it now.
