For the third straight season, St. Francis (Pa.) was selected to win the Northeast Conference women's title in a poll of head coaches. The Red
Flash, who won their second straight NEC regular-season title last season, received five of the nine first-place votes.
St. Francis was a perfect 10-0-0 record in NEC action and reached
the title match the least two seasons. It has six starters back including senior forward Tesa McKibben
, the NCAA's leading active scorer and the NAC's first
three-time NEC Player of the Year with 48 goals and 25 assists in her career.
Two-time defending NEC Tournament champion LIU Brooklyn received three first-place votes to finish second in
the poll. Sacred Heart was picked to finish third, netting the remaining first-place vote. Northeast Preseason Poll:
