[NORTHEAST: Women] For the third straight season, St. Francis (Pa.) was selected to win the Northeast Conference women’s title in a poll of head coaches. The RedFlash, who won their second straight NEC regular-season title last season, received five of the nine first-place votes.

St. Francis was a perfect 10-0-0 record in NEC action and reachedthe title match the least two seasons. It has six starters back including senior forward Tesa McKibben, the NCAA’s leading active scorer and the NAC’s firstthree-time NEC Player of the Year with 48 goals and 25 assists in her career.

Two-time defending NEC Tournament champion LIU Brooklyn received three first-place votes to finish second inthe poll. Sacred Heart was picked to finish third, netting the remaining first-place vote.
