Report: Bale Fee Agreed; Willian and Lamela Off to Spurs

Sky Sports Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Tottenham and Real Madrid have agreed to a world record transfer for Gareth Bale worth $145.8 million, plus Real defender Fabio Coentrao. However it is as yet unclear whether Coentrao will be included in the deal, or used to subsidize it.

Meanwhile, reports in England show that Spurs is on the verge of signing AS Roma winger Erik Lamela in addition to Anzhi Makhachkala forward Willian, who will reportedly cost around $47 million each. Presumably, the money that would be used to fund these expensive transfers would come from Bale’s sale to Real.

While the Lamela deal is seen as more contingent on an agreement over the Welshman’s transfer, Sky Bet has suspended taking bets on Willian’s next destination, with odds as short as 1/10 in favor of Spurs over Liverpool. According to the BBC, the Brazilian is in London taking a medical.
