Jorden to launch new Tigers' program

[PACIFIC MEN] Ryan Jorden, the head coach at California Baptist University for the last five years, has a new job. But it won't be until next year he'll have a team to work with.

Jorden has been hired to launch the new Pacific men's program that will play a non-conference schedule in 2014 and fully join the WCC in 2015.

"We are happy to announce Ryan as our new head coach," said Pacific AD Ted Leland in a statement. "Out of a very talented pool of candidates, Ryan rose to the top and we are excited to have him build and lead the future of Pacific men's soccer. His success at California Baptist has proven that he is ready to take on this challenge."

He led Cal Baptist to five straight postseasons, including its first-ever NAIA national tournament appearance in 2010 and two straight NCCAA national championships.

Prior to that, Jorden served as the lead assistant coach for Dave Wolf at his alma mater, Westmont, from 2000-07.
