President Barack Obama stopped by a Tully Junior-Senior High School soccer practice in Tully, N.Y., on Friday.
"I was driving by and I thought, you know, I need to kick
around a ball a little bit," said Obama, who proceeded to do just that for a few minutes. Three teams of Black Knights spoke with the president: Girls junior varsity soccer, girls varsity soccer and
boys varsity soccer.
"How's it going everybody?" Obama asked. "How long ago did practice start?" (8 a.m.) ... How are you guys feeling? ... Did you practice during the summer? ... What
grade are most of you in? ... I'm traveling around the area talking about college, making sure that young people can pay for it. I'm assuming everybody here's gonna want to go to college?"
