Heels knock off Indiana in Ft. Wayne

[SHINDIGZ NATIONAL SOCCER FESTIVAL] North Carolina beat Michigan State, 2-1, and defending national champion Indiana, 1-0, in a men's exhibition match that drew a crowd estimated at around 5,000 as part of the Shindigz National Soccer Festival at Hefner Field on the IUPUI Fort Wayne campus.

SMU transfers Tyler Engel and Raby George scored against Michigan State, while an early second-half goal from Cooper Vandermaas-Peeler was the difference against the Hoosiers, who knocked UNC out of the quarterfinal round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

Junior Brendan Moore, who is battling with redshirt freshman Cole Brooks and redshirt sophomore Sam Euler for the starting job in goal in place of Scott Goodwin, got the shutout against IU.
