Bale Back in UK as Real Deal Stalls

Gareth Bale on Monday flew back to the UK as he awaits the completion of his move to Real Madrid, the Guardian reports. The Welshman had spent the last two days in Marbella believing that his move to Real Madrid would be secured, but with no formal agreement reached he has now returned to London.
Reports in Spain claim that there is another bid for the Tottenham winger, which the Guardian claims could be a move by Spurs to bump up his price tag. His personal terms have apparently been agreed: the Welshman will sign a six-year deal with an annual salary of close to $13.4 million, taking the cost of the total package for him to over $267 million.
