Real Madrid could recoup most of the $133.8 million it is expected to spend on Gareth Bale from player sales, Marca reports, if Angel Di Maria heads to Arsenal for $40 million. Having already sold Jose Callejon, Raul Albiol and Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli $82.9 million, the sale of Di Maria, plus the $6.8 million it received for the transfer of Alvaro Negredo to Manchester City, would take the Spanish giant’s total sales to close to $120 million, which would go some way to paying for Bale’s massive transfer fee.
However, it must be remembered that the Capital club has already spent $40 million on Isco, $52.2 million on Illarramendi and $8.9 million on Carvajal.
