Georgetown beats out Creighton in preseason poll

[BIG EAST: Men] Georgetown, the 2012 NCAA national runner-up, has been picked to the win the 2013 Big East men’s regular-season championship ahead of conference newcomer Creighton, which also advanced to last year’s College Cup.

Georgetown forward Steve Neumann, 2012 College Cup Most Outstanding Offensive Player, was named Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Marquette’s Axel Sjoberg and St. John’s Tim Parker shared Preseason Defensive Player of the Year honors. Rafael Diaz of St. John’s was named Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year.
