Chivas USA ousts president

[MLS SPOTLIGHT] Troubled Chivas USA has named Arturo Galvez as its new president and chief business officer, replacing Jose David less than 11 months after he was hired.

Chivas USA is last in the Western Conference with 26 points and last in MLS in attendance with an average of 8,230 a game.

As the season has progressed, Chivas USA's play has improved, but its attendance woes continue. Its crowd of 5,123 for its game against Portland last weekend was the lowest crowd of the 2013 season.

Galvez arrives at Chivas USA after 16 years with Chivas de Guadalajara and its owner, Jorge Vergara.

He has been involved in numerous projects at Chivas de Guadalajara and worked on Vergara's buyout of Chivas USA in 2012.

Vergara is the one that needs to be replaced, this club under Preki did very well and since that time they have been in a downward spiral as they race to the bottom with their silly 'USA' name attached (as opposed to being affiliated with Los Angeles, the community where they are directly located).

I don't think Chivas is "long" for their current location anyway. I could see "Becks" buying the team and giving them a new address, far from Southern California.
