A lightning quick strike by Leipzig

[VIDEO PICK: Off the Post] RB Leipzig looked like it was in an American football formation on the opening kickoff against VfB Stuttgart II and scored the fastest goal in the German Third Division history.

Coach Alexander Zorniger’s uses a 4-3-3 lineup but employed a 2-0-8 on this kickoff. That thrilled the 9,869 fans at Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena when it led to Daniel Frahn’s goal at the 8.6 second mark, beating the German D3’s previous fastest goal record of 17 seconds.

Six Leipzig players touched the ball before Frahn finished, scoring the first goal of his team's 3-1 win.
