USA leaves Tahiti with first win

[BEACH SOCCER WORLD CUP] The USA finished group play at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti with a 6-4 win over the United Arab Emirates. The Americans had fallen behind when the UAE's Hasan Ali scored after three seconds, but Nick Perera led the comeback with a hat trick.

Tomas Canale added two goals, and Jason Leopoldo also scored for the USA, which broke the game open with a pair of goals in the second period.

The USA has never reached the group stage in four appearances in the beach soccer world championships.

Both teams had been eliminated from the tournament after two games.
