Stanford extends Pac-12 winning streak to 43 games

[COLLEGE WOMEN: Weekend] Second-half goals by Courtney Verloo and Taylor Uhl gave No. 2 Stanford a 2-0 victory at Colorado Saturday to extend its Pac-12 winning streak to 43.
 
Verloo, who scored a hat trick in her last match, scored on a  rebound for her sixth goal of the season. Uhl followed with her team-leading ninth goal of the season off a pass from Verloo.

Savannah Jordan scored her 11th goal in 10 games as No. 11 Florida defeated Mississippi, 4-1, in the SEC road opener for the Gators. She is one ahead of the 10 goals through 10 matches turned in by Abby Wambach in her freshman year in 1998.

STREAKING LIONS. Penn State won its seventh straight game with a 6-1 win over Purdue. Maya Hayes scored her 11th goal to go along with four assists. Costa Rican Raquel Rodriguez also had a goal and an assist. She leads the Nittany Lions (8-1-1) with seven assists.

Senior Amanda Frisbie scored two goals and added an assist as No. 7 Portland rolled to a 4-2 win over Wyoming before 3,072 fans at Merlo Field.
